Three artists from Latin America that use oil paints and various brush techniques on canvas, to capture movement, forms, textures, lights, and shadows in colorful compositions. Their art is vibrant, passionate and inviting, celebrating their rich and lively Latin culture. Their goal is to inspire those who see their work and to discover beauty in unusual places while, enticing you to want to see more.
Old City Hall is located at 1313 Market Street in Redding, CA. This gallery is open to all ages and free to visit. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10:00-4:00 and Saturday from 10:00-3:00.

Gladys Waters is a Colombian American Contemporary Artist. Late in her life she discovered that the blood that runs through her veins is that of an artist. Her late father Luis E Celedón was a very talented artist and she now follows in his footsteps.
She works with oils, combining the palette knife technique with the strokes of her painting brushes. Much of her colorful and passionate culture, her paints are vibrant.
Gladys has had solo art shows at the Colombian Consulate in San Francisco, California, in several galleries in Northern California, at Shasta Office of Education and at Redding Airport. She has entered and competed in various national and international art competitions.
More recently this year, she had an international online solo show organized by Biafarim and Exhibizione, from January through March 2024.
Gladys regularly shows her artwork with other local artists at the Redding City Hall, Shasta County Arts Council and NVAL.

Maria J Henderson was born in Bogota Colombia to a family of renown architects and painters. After immigrating to the United States in 2003, she lived in La Jolla California where she developed her interest in natural scapes. For the past 12 years Maria has lived on a remote ranch in the mountains of N. California where daily sightings of bears, deer and waterfowl continues to inspire. Maria studied under Stefan Bauman for 3 years and for the past 2 years with instuctor/ mentor Mollie Flack. Most recently Maria attended a work shop conducted by Marie Carole.
