Grand Opening: August 7, 5-8pm

Familiarity of the Figure explores the human form through a variety of artistic styles and perspectives. Featuring work from regional artists, the exhibition invites visitors to experience how portraiture and figurative art can express identity, emotion, movement, and the shared human experience.

Children’s Summer Art Classes at the Shasta County Arts Council offer hands-on creative experiences for ages 5–14 throughout June, July, and August. Led by instructor Susan Emerson, classes explore drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and imaginative themed projects in a fun and encouraging environment. Sessions are held at Old City Hall in Downtown Redding with both 4-day sessions and drop-in options available.

September 19, doors open at 7pm
