Zine Scene: The Art of DIY
Deadline: March 15th
Red City Zine Fest is coming back to Old City Hall! We’ll be featuring our local artists in: Zine Scene and The Art of DIY; a mixed-media gallery open for the month of April.
The Zine (like magazine) has been a popular medium within marginalized communities that blends subculture art and sharing knowledge in self-published booklets. We want to honor the Do It Yourself nature of zine making, and how artists embrace this mixed medium. Discover the joy of small literature, and learn how to pronounce a new word!
We’re looking for artists ready to submit a zine that features any media made flat, or any other medium made in the zine format. You may also submit up to two pieces featured in a zine you have created as individual items to display.
