Performing Arts Society of Redding presents pianist Oliver Moore in "Magic of Chopin". Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849) revolutionized the possibilities of the piano. Born in Poland, Chopin assimilated the folk music of his homeland as well as the music of masters such as J.S. Bach, Mozart, Italian opera composers, and salon composers. Composer Robert Schumann described Chopin’s music as containing “cannons buried in flowers.”
