"Oleanna", a powerful two-character drama by David Mamet, explores the destructiveness of miscommunication, accusation, academic politics, and power.

Carol, a struggling undergraduate student, is concerned about failing a class. John, her professor, is on the verge of receiving tenure and is distracted by constant calls. Their first meeting is marked by miscommunication and interruptions. Carol returns with a formal complaint of sexual harassment, threatening John's tenure and career. Their subsequent meetings grow increasingly hostile and charged.

In this claustrophobic drama, the truth remains elusive, intentions are murky, and the line between victim and perpetrator blurs. We are left not simply questioning who was right, but if understanding between these two people was possible at all.
