Postponed: Writing workshops – Your Carr Fire Story: Written and Heard

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is postponed, with tentative recommencement expected in May 2020.

The Carr Fire affected people on multiple levels: from loss of loved ones, destruction of homes, wildlife and forests. Many continue to live with the trauma; from evacuating, and first responders – from working tirelessly to protect people, animals, wildlife and homes from the unprecedented destruction of the fire.

No prior writing experience is required, workshop attendees will have the opportunity to hone their skills under guidance of award-winning writer and publisher, Kimberly Carlson.

The first workshop will be held February 25th at 5:30pm at the Shasta County Arts Council – Old City Hall, 1313 Market Street, Redding. Subsequently, there will be three weekly workshops a month, for five months. (published workshop dates: March 3, 10, 24, 31; April 14, 21; May 5, 12, 26. June & July dates TBA).
