ARTsMART - at Mt. Shasta Mall

Starts: 10:00 am

Ends: November 1, 2014 - 9:00 pm

Location: Mt Shasta Mall, 900 Dana Dr, Redding, CA, United States

Description: In 2009, the Shasta County Arts Council and the Mt. Shasta Mall have partnered to present a one-of a kind all arts all entertainment day for the community and for artists to display, demonstrate, and sell their wares. Preference will be given to artists demonstrating their art. ARTsMART was designed to be a culturally rich environment for the community to learn about the arts and to experience a variety of arts, including performing, musical, and visual arts all in one day. The first year, 2009 was a huge success. The parking lot was full, and over 12,000 patrons visited the mall; the largest one-day arts event in Shasta County. 2011 brought over 14,000 patrons to the mall.
ARTsMART is so successful that the mall moved it to November and has committed to adver-tising. The event has since been growing in popularity, and for the 2014 edition, Mt. Shasta Mall and Shasta County Arts Council have decided to make ARTsMART a two-day event! Over the years, it has become a one-stop shopping and entertainment venue benefitting the en-tire community. The artists who participate gain unparalleled exposure and opportunity to reach new audiences and markets. The contacts established during ARTsMART often result in the artists receiving commission work months, years after the event.
There will be live music and entertainment during the weekend. If you have a preference about your proximity to the entertainment, please specify in the application. We will do our best to accommodate you. Applications will be juried and accepted on an ongoing basis.
Show hours: Saturday 10-9, Sunday 11-6.
