Ballet Belariz

Daniel Arizmendi is taking enrollments for a new ballet school, Ballet Belariz.
Belariz Ballet provides students the opportunity to learn quality movement, discipline and freedom of expression through classical training. Holding to the belief that each individual artist has a singularly unique voice to create truth and beauty, the school aims to equip students with the knowledge of classical technique and awareness that will be utilized whether or not a performing career is pursued.
Daniel is trained in both classical and contemporary ballet, having worked with Alonzo King's Lines Ballet Ensemble. As a teacher and choreographer, he creates original works for ballet companies, dance schools, musicals, and more. He is currently a Principle Dancer of the Redding City Ballet.

Collage Night for Women Fridays 9/5-9/26 – Monster Collage/Painting Fridays 9/5-9/26 – Crazy Self-Portrait Fridays 10/10-10/31 – Wild Things Mask Fridays 10/10-10/31 – Charlie Brown Halloween Decoration Fridays 11/3-11/21 - Tail Feather ------------------------------------------------------------ Ages 8 to 13. Fee: $35 for 4 classes plus $25 supply fee paid to the instructor at first class. Thursdays 9/4-9/25 Learn the basic tools and techniques to make stunning hand-painted silk. You’ll use the easy to learn “Serti” technique, to “fence” color. Much like watercolor, painting with dyes is lively. The colors dance across the silk, creating the one of a kind look that has made this ancient art-form so popular today. You’ll take home a beautiful scarf of your own creation. Saturday, October 18 Fee: $95 or bring a friend for $175 per pair - includes silk, use of all supplies, continental breakfast and lunch. In this class, students will learn about sidewalk chalk art and its history, learn to “paint” with chalk pastels and work both individually and in groups to create a sidewalk masterpiece. Saturday, September 20 Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Fee: $20 plus $20 per person supplies fee due to instructor at first class.

Preschool Arts and Education
Artist Troy Hawkins will lead children through fun, art-filled 4-week sessions. Each session will teach a different art medium and incorporate a children’s book. Students will explore and practice using the materials. In the last class, students will complete and present the final project. Please have you child wear play clothes. Ages 4 and 5.

After School Art Enrichment
Artist Troy Hawkins’ After School Art Labs are age-appropriate, project based classes, in a wide variety of mediums. Troy will lead children through fun, art-filled four-week sessions. Each session will focus on a different medium. Students will explore and practice using the materials and in each session, complete a project. Please have your child wear play clothes.

13-Week Course in Discovering and Recovering Your Creative Self
In this 13-week program you will be guided through a process of growth and be shown the tools to unblock your creative process, dismantle negative mythologies, discover your creative force, recognize self-destructive behaviors, and identify their own dreams while laying the foundation to accomplish them. Participants learn how to support and nurture themselves and surround yourself with others that will do the same! This 13-week course is filled with activities to open each participant's creative eye and demonstrate that they too have an inner artist that is yearning to be discovered and nurtured. This program is for people who want to write, paint, sing, draw, dance or act, just to name a few. In this program artists and non-artist alike dissolve blocks by the simple process of engaging in discovering and recovering their creative powers. You will begin to move through self-doubt, negative conditioning and self-destructive behavior and live a more creative, artistically true life
