QUARTERLY ARTAZINE COVER ART CONTEST
We accept art submissions quarterly for each edition.
Cover artist will be contacted once decision is made and will be asked to submit a three paragraph artist statement that will appear on the inside cover of the magazine.

Work that is not chosen for the cover still has a good chance of appearing in the magazine however, we cannot guarantee that your work will appear.
Since space is limited, we choose the artwork that most closely represents the purpose of the magazine.

submission guidelines
Email items listed below to artazine@shastaartscouncil.org
• $5.00 entry fee, payable to SCAC (per season) see instructions above
• Up to three images .jpg format, 300 dpi
(must look clear when blown up to size 8”x11”)
• Art must be appropriate for all ages.
• Tip: Artwork that is indicative of the season will have a better chance of making it to the cover.
• Brief bio/statement with all entries (50 words or less, including brief description of work)
• Titles
• Medium used
• Email/phone/website
• Artist name
• Specify the edition: Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring
• We will not select work from the artists’ website. It is the artists’ responsibility to choose the work they want to submit.
• Artwork and fees must be received by the deadline to be considered.
• Artist must be a current member of the Shasta County Arts Council and reside in Shasta County.

Artazine is a quarterly publication created by the Shasta County Arts Council to inform the community about where to find art classes and instructors all over Shasta County. The instructors of the classes are supporters of the Arts Council through membership and / or underwriting.
Currently, Artazine is available only online, and cannot be sold.
Feel free to view, print, and use this excellent resource of Arts Instruction at home or at your office.
